Desired qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in ecology, ecosystem science, or a related field
  • Experience with analytical and modeling approaches for assessing socio-ecological systems and ecosystem services
  • Demonstrated record of high-impact interdisciplinary research
  • Evidence of effective teaching skills, an understanding of the land-grant mission, and a strong interest in contributing to our academic programs
  • Strong publication record
  • Demonstrated ability or potential for generating external funding
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate scientific knowledge to a range of stakeholders
  • Evidence of the ability to conduct independent and collaborative research with other faculty and natural resource professionals, develop and maintain an active research program, publish in leading scientific journals, and secure extramural funding to support research
  • Demonstrated teaching effectiveness at the graduate and undergraduate levels
  • Experience fostering undergraduate research excellence is also strongly desired
