Duties: Crew members will complete six, ten-day conservation projects around the state of Wyoming, living and working outdoors. Members’ responsibilities as AmeriCorps members will include, but are not limited to: camping, cooking, work task completion, participating in environmental education and group learning programs, various camp chores. Work projects are located throughout the state of Wyoming, working with state and federal land management agencies. Projects may include: trail maintenance and construction, habitat restoration, development reclamation, construction, scientific survey, and various agricultural projects. Crew members will be required to fulfill a minimum 450 hour commitment over the course of the term of service

Desired qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Able to lift 60 lbs.
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • US Citizen / Eligible for AmeriCorps Ed Award and ENR course credit
  • Prior outdoor living experience
  • Effective communication skills
  • Willingness to work in a team setting
  • Ability to work hard while living outdoors in all weather conditions

Start and end dates: May – August, 2016

Salary/pay:

Living Stipend – $3,250
AmeriCorps Education Award – $1,468
