Duties: The Sustainability Fellow will assist in recruiting and managing student staff in the North Woods Stewards Program, Sustainability Representatives, composting, bike share, garden, and other programs. He/she will create and carry out various educational events and programs related to sustainability, including annual campus-wide events such as Skidmore Unplugged, The Big Green Scream, and Earth Week. The Fellow will also assist in managing internal and external communications for the Skidmore Sustainability Office, aid in sustainability assessment which includes collecting data for a greenhouse gas inventory, and assist the Campus Sustainability Subcommittee in a variety of ways. The Fellow will have an excellent opportunity to make an impact both on the ongoing operations of the College and on the development of future leaders.

Desired qualifications: BA or BS, strong written and verbal skills, a creative approach to problem solving, and comfort in working with students, faculty, and staff from across the College. The successful candidate should have skills in designing and facilitating programs, projects, and events related to sustainability, and experience with land stewardship is desirable.

Salary/pay: $17.75 – $18.50 per hour commensurate with experience.
