Organization: Ecology and Environment


  • Working with a team of multi-disciplinary environmental professionals
  • Planning, conducting, managing (Associate/Senior), and reporting on field assessments for uranium mining impacted land, groundwater and structures
  • Operation of environmental and radiological sampling/monitoring equipment
  • Preparing environmental documents and reports including writing, drafting, editing and revising
  • Applying knowledge of scientific and engineering principles through field studies including research, data collection, compilation and evaluation
  • Travel and field work to support project needs

Desired qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Biology, Geology, Health Physics, or related discipline
  • Junior-level: 1+ years’ of experience in environmental consulting or field work; OSHA 40-hour training desired
  • Associate-/Senior-level: 3+ years’ of experience with an environmental consulting firm or government agency and significant experience leading field projects; experience writing sampling/work plans and analyzing and presenting data in formal reports; OSHA 40-hour training required
  • Ability to travel to support business needs
  • Ability to walk for several miles and work in extreme temperatures and rough terrain in remote locations
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and ability to work independently and within a team setting
  • Strong technical writing skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Special consideration will be given to candidates possessing: work experience or training conducting radiation site safety monitoring training; experience conducting radiation site assessment and/or MARSSIM investigations; CERCLA assessments (PA/SI, RI/FS) experience; and experience in human health/ecological risk assessment
