Desired qualifications: Ph.D. in an interdisciplinary social science, environmental studies, or a related field preferred (ABD considered). Undergraduate teaching experience required. Preference will be given to candidates with training in interdisciplinary social sciences and expertise in energy and society. Teaching assignments will include shared responsibility for required courses in the environmental studies major and new upper-division courses on energy and society, the global transition to sustainability, or related topics in the candidate’s areas of expertise supporting the Environmental Studies curriculum as appropriate. The ability to contribute to institutional UNFCCC/climate studies initiatives is also desirable. Applicants should be willing to direct undergraduate research, integrate campus and local sustainability issues into their teaching, and contribute to the institutions’ Common Curriculum.
