Organization: Washington State Department of Natural Resources – Franklin County
Duties: Negotiate new lease contracts and completes lease renewal forms and reports. Determine fair market cash rental values or appropriate sharecrop percentage shares. Meet with lessees to evaluate cropping practices, lease compliance, compliance with state and federal laws. Evaluate, develop and implement lease Resource Management Plans in consultation with lessees, Washington State Fish and Wildlife, Conservation Districts and the Natural Resource Conservation Service. Develop grazing plans and implements range improvements.
Desired qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in an Agricultural field of study, knowledge of and ability to use GPS, GIS, NaturE, and Microsoft Office software programs to assist in the management of trust lands. Ability to identify noxious weeds and prescribe appropriate management action, experience and competency in driving on unimproved roads.
Salary/pay: $41,436.00 – $54,384.00
