Organization: Department of Sustainability and Energy Management – St. Lawrence University
Duties: Reporting to the Chief Facilities Officer, the assistant director of sustainability and energy management provides the expertise and leadership to articulate and assist St. Lawrence University in delivering on its sustainability commitment. This position requires development of near and longer term strategies and implements approved projects and programs necessary for the university to successfully meet its Climate Action Plan (CAP). This plan calls for St. Lawrence University to work towards achieving climate neutrality by 2040.
Desired qualifications: B.S. degree in Engineering (Energy, Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil), Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related field preferred. At least 5 years of experience in green/sustainability-related project management. A Master’s degree and three years experience may be considered. Strong oral and writing skills, including formal and informal presentations, and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders, including faculty, facilities, board members, and students.
