Organization: Town of Lyons
Duties: Performs project and construction management for assigned planning, park and trail capital projects including review of design documents, construction plans, specifications, legal documents, contract documents, technical reports, project schedules, and project cost estimates. Participates in the development and implementation of concept or master plans through construction of parks, streams and trails plans. Reviews construction plans, designs and specifications pertaining to projects; develops designs, drawings or maps associated with proposed or approved projects, makes recommendations concerning improvements, modifications, design strategies, structural systems, or other aspects of project development; Responsible for project compliance to applicable codes, laws, regulation, rules, standards, policies and procedures, and safety procedures.
Desired qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in project management, landscape architecture, architecture, construction management, environmental planning, civil engineering, planning or closely related field, and five (5) years of professional level project and construction management experience, having responsibility for coordinating all phases of design and construction OR an equivalent combination of closely related training and experience. Experience managing public parks, stream restoration, trail and open space capital improvement projects. Membership in American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), Project Management Institute (PMI), Construction Management Association of America (CMAA). Professional license from a recognized agency as a landscape architect, architect, engineer, or certified project or construction manager. Certified Playground Safety Inspector preferred. Ecology Restoration experience preferred.
Salary/pay: Grant Funded, $20-$25/hr. DOQ, Full Benefits Package
