Duties: Primary duties include, but not limited to; range analysis, vegetative inventories, technical report writing, and reclamation compliance monitoring. Other duties may include; environmental regulatory permit development, assist in wildlife and associated habitat inventories, reclamation plan development and monitoring, hydrologic and groundwater evaluation, map development and other related tasks. Training will be provided as necessary.
Desired qualifications: Studying Range Ecology, Wildlife Management, Biology, Botany or other natural resource related field and be well versed in plant identification, specifically, those species associated with the Inter-Mountain West. Working knowledge in development and implementation of range inventory/monitoring techniques and data management. Familiarity of regional ecosystems and associated components. Working knowledge in map reading and use of GPS and GIS software is preferred. Versed in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
