Play Engineer and Summer Program AmeriCorps Position

Jackson, WY

Organization: Jackson Hole Children’s Museum

Duties:

  • Support planning and teaching summer camps and programs
  • Encourage children and their families to explore and play in engaging new ways
  • Engage children in exploration and learning through questioning and involvement
  • Help maintain exhibits after periods of heavy play
  • Monitor and stock exhibits and creativity spaces throughout the day
  • Ensure the safe use of Museum spaces by enforcing Museum expectations
  • Assist with patron check-in and front-desk management
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures
  • Assist with Museum operational efforts, including marketing, membership recruitment and tracking and exhibit design, construction and upkeep

  • Experience and love of working with children
  • Passion for education and play
  • A sense of responsibility and playfulness
  • Ability to self-task with good time management skills
  • Demonstrate a passion for education and working with children
  • Demonstrate experience in working independently and with a team
  • Must have obtained a high school diploma/equivalency certificate
  • Must be 21 years of age with valid driver’s license
  • Have current CPR and AED for Adult and Child and First Aid Certification that is valid through end of term
