Duties: The instructor shall work with students on course registration, degree planning, academic curricula, course transfers, college and community resources, financial opportunities, employment, and continuing education. The successful applicant will also maintain student and course records, contribute to assessment activities, assist with planning documents, participate in SKC committees, and other duties as assigned.

Desired qualifications: The minimum requirement for this position is a Master’s of Science Degree (PhD preferred) in Fisheries Management, Wildlife Biology, or a closely related field, 3 years of professional work experience, undergraduate teaching experience, knowledge of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes and the mission and goals of SKC, the ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, excellent communication, and the desire to work cooperatively in a team setting. Additional preferred qualifications include knowledge of Native American pedagogy, Ichthyology, Fisheries Management, Entomology, Botany, Conservation Genetics, Environmental Laws and Policies, and discipline related equipment and technologies.

Salary/pay: $37,000 – $42,000
