Position Title: Environmental Intern
Organization: Mountain Cement Company (Eagle Materials)
Location: Laramie, WY

Position Overview: The goal of the Operations Intern Training Program is to bring new talent into EM with the intent of training towards broad cement manufacturing experiences (positions) with highly promotable and mobile team members. Interns will learn:
1. Permitting processes related to the cement plant and terminal operations
2. Reporting requirements for air, water, and waste
3. Routine maintenance and operations of emissions monitors in stack
4. Mercury sorbent trap sampling and record keeping
5. Routine maintenance and operations of ambient monitors
6. Stack testing coordination and stack test report reviewing/filing
Qualifications:
– enrolled in an environmental program
– must have completed all sophomore class requirements, i.e. currently at or above junior status, but no later than the beginning of the first semester of Senior level classes
– maintain a 3.0 GPA overall
– upon completion of degree (graduation) candidate may be offered a salaried starting position at the next available EM facility if available at that time
Salary/Pay: $25/hour, 15-20 hours/week depending on applicant’s school schedule
