Organization Overview: Founded in Namibia in 1990, Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF) is dedicated to saving the cheetah in the wild.

Position Overview: UW is pleased to offer a unique $5000 scholarship opportunity for a graduate or undergraduate student to intern at the Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF) in Namibia in summer 2024
The CCF center in Namibia welcomes interns with science-based, conservation-focused interests, but is also open to students with business, finance, law, marketing, public relations, research, event organizing, graphic design, report writing, proposal writing, fundraising and administrative skills. The center in Namibia has a veterinary clinic and a fully-equipped genetics lab where interns can work.
Dr. Laurie Marker, Founder and Executive Director of CCF, will be visiting UW on Thursday, October 19.

Qualifications:
- Applicants must be enrolled in a degree-granting UW undergraduate or graduate program.
- Applicants must have completed at least 30 credits.
- Applications must include a resume or CV (Curriculum Vitae).
- Applications must be supported by a letter from a UW faculty member explaining how the proposed internship or research project contributes to the advancement of the student’s academic or professional objectives.
- All applications must include a Letter of Motivation, highlighting the reasons for their interest in this opportunity and explaining their skills and overall ability to be successful in a challenging environment (500 words or less).
- Graduate applicants must include a research abstract or proposal (500 words or less).
- Successful applicants will then need to apply & be accepted into the internship/volunteer program for the 2024 summer at the Cheetah Conservation Fund.
Start/End Dates: June-August 2024
Scholarship: $5,000 grant
