Position Title: White House Internships

Organization: Executive Office of the President and the Office of Management and Budget 

Location: Washington, D.C.

Organization Overview: Every day, the President of the United States is faced with scores of decisions, each with important consequences for working families. To provide the President with the support that he or she needs to govern effectively, the Executive Office of the President (EOP) was created in 1939 by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The EOP has responsibility for tasks ranging from communicating the President’s message to the American people to promoting our trade interests abroad.

The Office of Management and Budget oversees the implementation of the President’s vision across the Executive Branch. OMB carries out its mission through five main functions across executive departments and agencies: 1) budget development and execution; 2) management, including oversight of agency performance, procurement, financial management, and information technology; 3) coordination and review of all significant Federal regulations from executive agencies; 4) clearance and coordination of legislative and other materials; and 5) clearance of Presidential Executive Orders and memoranda to agency heads prior to their issuance.

In order to participate in an internship program at the EOP, participants must be U.S. citizens and at least 18 years or older before the first day of the program. Additional eligibility requirements will vary by office.

All internships will be hosted in person on the White House campus, located in Washington, D.C. Please note that living accommodations and relocation support will not be provided.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Males must be registered with Selective Service
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate college, community college, or university
  • Must obtain a favorable security determination and pass a pre-employment drug test

Start/End Dates: June 10- August 16, 2024

Salary/Pay: $750 per week
