Position Title: Park Maintenance Technician

Organization: Sylvan State Park, Colorado Parks and Wildlife

Location: Eagle, CO

Position Overview: Inspect and performs routine maintenance of park facilities and restrooms. Perform minor semi-skilled maintenance of park equipment, restrooms and picnic shelters.

Duties: Assures quality customer service and facility maintenance, repair and cleanliness. Provides information and assistance to visitors. Responsible for all general park maintenance and cleaning of public facilities including: restrooms, showers, vault toilets, cabins & yurts, campsites, picnic areas, trails, etc. Operates and performs routine maintenance on State owned vehicles and equipment. May assist with carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical work and transporting materials and supplies. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Must have a valid drivers’ license and reliable transportation (provide motor vehicle record upon hire)

• Willing to work outside during inclement weather

• Must be able to lift 75-100 pounds repeatedly during the course of a single workday

• Knowledge of power tool and hand tools preferred

• Knowledge of small engine and other equipment maintenance and repair preferred

• First Aid and CPR certifications desired

• Must be able to work various shifts, weekends and holidays.

• Possess strong interpersonal communication skills

• Ability to work with little supervision

Start/End Dates: May 2024

Salary/Pay: $15.75 per hour, Housing Available – Individuals over 18, $40 per month
