Position Title: Transforming Food Systems Fellow

Position Overview: Cornell Transforming Food Systems Fellows will work to create food systems that are sustainable, equitable, and health-promoting for people, animals, and the planet. They will learn from interdisciplinary faculty, engage in real-world learning opportunities, and receive specialized mentorship.

Qualifications:

• Apply and be accepted to the Cornell MPHProgram with a concentration in Food Systems & Health (only incoming students applying for the standard 2-year program are eligible)

• Be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or legal permanent resident of the U.S.

• Qualify for one or more of the following categories:

  • First-generation in your family to earn a four-year college degree
  • Low-income or experiencing/experienced financial hardship (e.g.,Federal Pell grant eligible, SNAP or WIC eligible, housing insecure)
  • Underrepresented/underserved cultural, racial, ethnic, geographic (e.g.,rural),or other identity group background.
  • Underrepresented/underserved life experience (e.g.,formerly incarcerated, single parent, military veteran, etc.)

Salary/Pay: Fellows will receive $44,000 in tuition scholarships and a $37,000 stipend (each year receiving $22,000 in tuition scholarships and an $18,500 stipend).

  • Complete the supplementary Transforming Food Systems Fellowship Application by March 1st
  • Applicants will be notified of acceptance into the MPHProgram and Transforming Food Systems Fellowship by March 15th
  • Accept MPH admission and Transforming Food Systems Fellowship offers by April 1st
