Position Title: Development Director

Organization: The Fund For People in Parks

Location: Remote in California, strong preference for San Francisco Bay Area

Position Overview: The Fund for People in Parks’ Development Director position collaborates on the design and implementation of our fundraising program, which is currently focused on major gifts and expanding into corporate giving and foundations.

Duties:

• Craft fundraising strategies and initiatives, with a primary focus on major gifts and an expansion of corporate and foundation support
• Develop and support implementation of targeted cultivation plans
• Oversee and/or support design and implementation of events, often in National Parks
• Participate in design and production of communications materials

Qualifications:

• Experience in non-profit fundraising environment, particularly with major gifts
• Success managing major donor/prospect portfolios
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently in remote setting while part of highly collaborative team
• Passion for National Parks and public lands

Start/End Dates: May 1, 2024

Salary/Pay: $58/hour, 12 hours per week
