Position Title: Reclamation Monitoring Technician

Position Overview: They are currently seeking to hire multiple Reclamation Monitoring Technicians to assist with reclamation monitoring in their Wyoming operations based in Rawlins, WY. They offer competitive pay with overtime potential and provided lodging. Positions are full time and seasonal, from April through November 2024. Employment beyond these dates is possible depending on project needs.
Duties:
- Conduct environmental compliance monitoring (vegetation monitoring and stormwater inspections).
- Assess site specific vegetation health and biodiversity.
- Follow monitoring protocols to collect accurate data on vegetation types, density, and distribution.
- Analyze collected data and prepare reports summarizing findings and suggesting mitigation strategies.
- Map new and existing features using ArcGIS Collector on tablet computers.
- Identify plants using a key.
- Navigate using digital maps.
- Keep up with environmental regulations and vegetation monitoring and land management practices.
- Manage weeds using truck, ATV/UTV, or backpack mounted herbicide spray equipment.
- Assist with erosion control and maintenance.
- Assist with other reclamation projects.
Qualifications:
- A commitment to High Standards in Safety.
- A Wyoming certified pesticide applicator license (preferred) or ability to obtain a
license. - A positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team.
- A clean driving record.
- Ability to travel regularly to project locations.
- Ability to participate in pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Be 21 years of age or older.
- Be organized and detail-oriented.
Salary/Pay: Starting $20 per hour depending on experience
