Position Title: Restoration Field Technician

Position Overview: EcoPoint, Inc. is seeking energetic individuals that are passionate about rangeland restoration who are interested in joining their staff as a seasonal Restoration Field Technician. Individuals must have a high level of self-motivation, initiative, and an exemplary work ethic. The position duties will consist of implementing a variety of restoration projects within northern Colorado and potentially across other western states. Projects include Noxious Weed Management, Habitat Restoration (lop and scatter, wet meadow restoration, live plant installation, obsolete fence removal), Native Plant Production (native seed collection, monitoring), and Erosion Control/Stormwater Management.
This employee will report directly to the Reclamation Field Supervisor, and will be critical to supporting projects and ensuring they are completed successfully and on-time in the field. Additional duties will consist of maintaining equipment and other work to support field operations.
The prospective employee should be comfortable driving pickup trucks and working long days outdoors during the summer field season. Additional job duties may require hauling trailers/equipment to the job-site and operating hand operated or other tools and equipment. Employees will receive task training prior to using any equipment or vehicles on the job.
Position start date will be in May with the field season running into early November. There is flexibility for start and end date for current students etc. Please send a resume with references in order to schedule an interview.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Natural Resources Management or related field (Preferred)
- Native Plant Identification Experience (Preferred)
- Experience in noxious species treatment (Preferred)
- Off highway travel (4×4) experience (Preferred)
- Loading and hauling trailers (Preferred)
- Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting experience (Preferred)
- Proficient with navigation and using maps (Required)
- Experience working in the field in the elements (Required)
- Commitment to safety above all other considerations (Required)
- Postitive Attitude (Required)
Start/End Dates: May- November 2024
Salary/Pay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour DOE
