Position Title: Physical Science Technician

Organization: Department of the Interior Geological Survey

Location: Lakewood, CO

Position Overview:  As a Physical Science Technician within the Geology, Geophysics and Geochemistry Science Center, some of your specific duties will include:

• Prepare geologic samples for chemical analysis.
• Organizes samples and updates a database of the workflow/work-status of samples.
• Operates and maintains lab equipment and lab supplies.
• Assists GGGSC Sample Control in the acceptance, logging, tracking, and archiving functions of samples submitted for chemical analysis.
• Operates a government owned or leased vehicle as an incidental driver.

Salary/Pay: $44,001 – $63,766 per year
