Position Title: Environmental Engineer/Physical Scientist
Organization: Environmental Protection Agency

Duties:
- Assist in the development of technical and policy analyses tools, and documents that support regulatory and non-regulatory development, reporting and implementation of the assigned OAP program(s).
- Advocate recommendations for advancing programs and/or methods.
- Provide technical, data, and policy support to regional EPA offices, internal and external stakeholders, federal, state, and local entities in the implementation of regulations, policies, and guidelines.
- Communicate routine information regarding environmental programs, policies, data, and technical analyses to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences.

In addition to the educational requirements, we are looking for at least one year of specialized experience related to this position as described below:
To qualify for the GS-09 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-07 level defined as analyzing climate pollution and impacts data;
– OR master’s or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in the academic discipline as described below
– OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
NOTE: 1 year of full-time graduate education is the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study; if that number cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours is considered an academic year of graduate study.
To qualify for the GS-11 level, you must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree directly related to the position being advertised.

Salary/Pay: $68,405 – $107,590 per year
