Position Title: Assistant Professor in Natural Resource Science and Management

Position Overview: The Department of Environmental Studies is accepting applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor to begin in August 2025. We seek to hire an interdisciplinary scholar who works in natural resources science and management. We welcome applicants with specializations including but not limited to fisheries, forestry, rangelands, and agriculture, ideally in the context of addressing environmental inequities and/or climate adaptation and resilience. Candidates for this position could employ a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods depending on their field of expertise, including research that is publicly and civically engaged. We are especially interested in those whose work includes one of the specializations above and foregrounds Native and Indigenous Studies. We seek applicants who are committed to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level, who are dedicated to developing an active research program that engages students, and who are excited to create formal and informal mentoring relationships with our students
