Position Overview: Colorado College is hiring a tenure track assistant professor of environmental science to join the College’s interdisciplinary Environmental Studies & Science Program in August 2025. We are seeking a climate scientist who focuses on meteorology, extreme events, climate risk, forecasting, and/or regional downscaling of climate models. We are looking for candidates with a demonstrated interest in teaching and conducting research with undergraduate students. The successful candidate will teach Introduction to Global Climate Change, Analysis of Environmental Data, and advanced electives in their area of expertise.

Qualifications: A Ph.D. in a field of environmental science by the start of employment and expertise in climate science and/or meteorology is required. Teaching experience; a demonstrated commitment to undergraduate teaching and research; and a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and antiracism in environmental science are also priorities.
