Position Title: Grants & Contracts Admin Specialist
Organization: State Parks/Historic Sites/Trails/Outdoor Recreation
Location: Cheyenne, WY
Position Overview: Assist with the management and oversight of two federally-funded grant programs and two state-funded grant programs to ensure all grant projects and budgets comply with all state and federal laws, regulations, and policies and that disbursements and reimbursements are completed timely and accurately.
Duties:
- Assist the Recreation Grants Supervisor with administering the Land and Water Conservation (LWCF) grant fund. Assist in monitoring and providing fiscal oversight of grant recipients. Review applications for compliance with grant program regulations and guidelines. Assist with the development of grant agreements and contracts.
- Assist with the recipient of required progress reports and reimbursement requests from recipients and monitor their grant activities. Assist with the preparation of reimbursement requests to NPS. Help evaluate grant outcomes, ensure continued program eligibility, and recommend appropriate measures for non-compliant grant recipients.
- Assist the Recreation Grants Supervisor with administering the Recreational Trails Program (RTP) grant fund. Maintain financial records, accurately maintain grant files, prepare reports, screen documents for procedural compliance; evaluate information for accuracy, and provide customer service.
- Assist the Recreation Grants Supervisor with internal Snowmobile and ORV Program grant administration. Maintain financial records, accurately maintain grant files, prepare reports, screen documents for procedural compliance; evaluate information for accuracy, and provide customer service.
- Assist the Recreation Grants Supervisor with administering the State Motorboat Gas Tax grant fund. Maintain financial records, accurately maintain grant files, prepare reports, screen documents for procedural compliance; evaluate information for accuracy, and provide customer service.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of various federal agency and state statutes, rules, regulations, and requirements pertaining to Federal and State Grant Programs and ability to apply.
- Skill in effective decision-making
- Skills in oral and written communication and organization
- Skill in reading and knowledge of legal documents
- Ability to analyze and evaluate according to requirements
- Ability to resolve problems
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Suites.
- Knowledge of the principles and procedures of financial record keeping and reporting, basic accounts payable, and purchasing.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree (typically in Business)
Experience:
0-1 year of progressive work experience (typically in Business)

Education & Experience Substitution:
3-4 years of progressive work experience (typically in Business)
Salary/Pay: $24.78 Hourly
