Position Title: Natural Resource Specialist

Organization: Permits West Inc

Location: Santa Fe, NM

Position Overview: We are interested in hiring a biologist or someone with an interest in biology and related fields. This person would ideally have their Masters in biology or environmental science, or a bachelors in either discipline with experience and motivation.

Duties:

• Field surveys
• Threatened and Endangered Species studies – field work plus write-up
• Environmental Assessment write-up
• Biological field work report write-up
• Data entry
• Spatial analysis (GIS)
• NEPA (National Environmental Policy Act) compliance process

Qualifications:

BA (or BS) with field work experience; MA/MS
Excellent references

• represent our company to clients and government entities respectfully and professionally

Start/End Dates: January 1, 2025 / rolling

Salary/Pay: $65,000 start (negotiable) – opportunity for growth based on work performance
