Job Title: Urban Forestry Internship
Organization: Lander Parks and Recreation
Duties: The intern will digitally catalog trees throughout the park system as time allows. While working on this digital log, the intern will help plant replacement trees, trim trees, provide proper protection for young trees, and identify and track any hazard trees that need immediate and future attention. The intern will also make recommendations for future placement and type of species for each park along with helping create an interactive arboretum. The intern will work with the Director and the Parks Foreman of Lander Parks and Recreation and also ISA Certified Tree Board Members.
Desired qualifications: Current or recent enrollment in a graduate or undergraduate program for Forestry, Arboriculture or related field.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate valid driver’s license.
- The successful candidate must pass a pre-employment drug screen test.

Start and end dates: 10 weeks; Mid-May through Mid-August; negotiable
Salary/pay: $12.00/Hour; 40 Hours/Week plus Cabin in Sinks Canyon at Central Wyoming College Field Station
