Job Title: Geophysical Data Technician

Organization: University of Wyoming, Geology and Geophysics

Overview: Dr. Carr and Dr. Riebe are looking to hire 5 full-time (i.e. 40 hrs/week) paid students (undergrad or graduate) to work as field geophysical data technicians for summer 2021 (starting May 24th thru August 22nd).

Locations: Looking to collect data on “Critical Zone” hydrogeophysical projects in the Laramie Range (east of town), Reynolds Creek CZ Observatory (near Boise, ID), South Carolina Piedmont CZO near Union, SC and the Pond Branch CZ site, near Baltimore, MD.

Duties: The geophysical data methods you will become familiar include: seismic refraction, electrical resistivity magnetics, and electromagnetics).

Start and end dates: May 24-August 22

Salary/pay: $15.00/hr plus overtime
