Organization Overview: Pheasants Forever, including its quail conservation division, Quail Forever, is the nation’s largest nonprofit organization dedicated to upland habitat conservation. Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever have more than 120,000 members and 780 local chapters across the United States and Canada. Since creation in 1982, Pheasants Forever has spent over $950 million on 560,000 habitat projects benefiting 20 million acres nationwide. In fact, more than 212,000 of those acres are now permanently protected as public lands.

Position Overview: The database manager is responsible for maintaining and enhancing Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever’s customer relationship management (CRM) database, as well as coordinating and deploying membership, customer service and operations strategies and initiatives for the organization. This position is a critical support role for the organization’s membership, customer service, field service and chapter relations efforts. This position will play an integral role in improving our internal operations and executing effective membership strategies that will promote the long-term sustainability of the organization.    


  • Manage the Dynamics 365 Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution to maintain, enhance and leverage our internal membership and customer service programming
  • Enhance the scalability and performance of existing database architecture
  • Implement process automations and workflow mapping of critical business process and procedures
  • Assist with the development of database structures and features to meet organizational needs and metrics  
  • Support the implementation of membership and customer service strategies and initiatives 
  • Coordinate and manage internal process and system documentation for all membership department processes and programs
  • Utilize Dynamics CRM, Power BI and Click Dimensions to establish workflow automation, process improvement and reporting to help drive growth in membership efforts and internal operations
  • Manage membership and donation processes within CRM, assisting with campaign management, internal processing, database troubleshooting and customer service 
  • Assist with the deployment of a third party provider remote desktop and caging services solution  (Deluxe Corporation R360) to create operational efficiency and enhance ROI of our external program administration  
  • Serve as the membership department liaison in working with the information technology team to execute, maintain, enhance and troubleshoot internal CRM database processes, workflows and programming 
  • Strategize with information technology, marketing, development, and field service teams to build out next generation membership programming and services
  • Other duties and projects as assigned


  • BS/BA in Related Field with 5+ years of professional experience 
  • Advanced skillset and experience utilizing customer relationship management software solutions (Microsoft Dynamics CRM preferred) 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a dynamic team environment 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical background with process orientation
  • Results focused and data driven project management 
  • Proven people skills to manage programs and achieve desired results
  • Ability to multi-task and hit deadlines
  • Creative vision and strategic thinking skills 
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Adobe Suite a plus) 
  • Industry knowledge and experience is preferred but not required
