Internships:

Climate Advocacy Fellows (one year, remote)
CCL is seeking Climate Advocacy Fellows for all CCL regions. The fellow will coordinate with regional and state coordinators to lead outreach and advocacy in their region to win critical support to pass CCL’s preferred climate policy. The fellow will conduct research, do outreach (tabling, presentations, social media, emails and calls), write letters to the editor, meet with elected officials, and mobilize students to ask their elected officials to support climate legislation. This position is for one year and comes with a $2500 stipend. Applicants must be enrolled in a higher education institution (or a recent [within one year of graduation] grad based in)in one of the target states. Campus Organizing Interns (2 – 3 semesters)
Students selected to participate in this program will join CCL’s Climate Advocacy Certificate Program for 15 weeks and design and implement a climate campaign the following semester. Climate campaigns can be tailored to the interests of the intern. Potential projects include organizing a group to attend CCL’s lobby day, starting a CCL group at their school, getting the college president’s endorsement, collecting testimonials and writing op-eds for publication in local papers. Academic credit is possible in consultation with the intern’s academic advisor.

Conservative Outreach Intern
This position works with CCL’s conservative outreach coordinator to support the engagement of conservative CCL volunteers and conduct outreach to conservatives and Republicans on carbon pricing.

Volunteer Action Intern (San Diego / Remote)
This intern will assist the Action Teams Coordinator in coordinating CCL’s 50+ action teams, which are groups at CCL based on common interests. The intern will also assist with creating coordinated actions for all CCL chapters, which currently number over 480 nationwide.
