Overview: The Wyoming Conservation Corps is currently hiring for its first-ever All-Women’s Crew. The All-Women’s Trail Crew is an AmeriCorps program designed to provide hands on training, certifications, and experience for women-identifying persons who are interested in pursuing a career in public land management.  Members will work cooperatively with and take direction from crew leaders and the Program Staff. Crew members will complete six, ten-day conservation projects around the state of Wyoming, living and working outdoors; crew members will also complete one week of orientation at the start of the first project.

he All-Women’s Trail Crew is an AmeriCorps program designed to provide hands on training, certifications, and experience for women-identifying persons who are interested in pursuing a career in public land management. This crew will be comprised of 2 Crew Leaders and 6 Crew Members, who will travel across the State of Wyoming to complete conservation projects with public land management partners. Members will work cooperatively with and take direction from crew leaders and the Program Staff. Crew members will complete six, ten-day conservation projects around the state of Wyoming, living and working outdoors; crew members will also complete one week of orientation at the start of the first project. Projects will include: trail maintenance and construction, habitat restoration, development reclamation, construction, scientific survey, and various agricultural projects

Qualifications:

  • Minimum age of 18 and able to lift 50lbs
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • US Citizen and eligible to earn AmeriCorps Education Award

Start/End dates: May 20th / Aug 17th

Salary/pay: Living stipend- total amount $4,250
