Duties: The purpose of this job is to provide editorial assistance for Wyoming Wildlife – a publication of the Wyoming Game and Fish Department. This entails being able to develop stories using a variety of journalistic storytelling styles and content, copy-editing, writing for print and online, helping to manage freelance writers, story assignments, and assisting with other parts of the production of the monthly magazine. The magazine and the position will work to help educate the public about Wyoming’s wildlife, about how to fish, hunt and enjoy wildlife and about the services the Wyoming Game and Fish Department provides.

Desired qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or related field preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Willingness to be a thought-leader on magazine editing. Experience and education in wildlife management, hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation. Must have a valid drivers license.

Salary/pay: $19.93 – $24.91/hour
