Duties: This staff member will lead the development of earned media strategies for their region, supporting The Wilderness Society’s priority public lands campaigns in the Northern Rockies region (Idaho, Montana and Wyoming). This position will also lead strategic media relations for The Wilderness Society’s national campaign to defend our nation’s forests.

Desired qualifications: The ideal candidate has significant experience with advocacy campaigns and/or political media relations work, outstanding strategic instincts, excellent writing skills, and a proven track record in working with print, digital and broadcast journalists, social media, and broader media initiatives. Experience with legislative/public affairs campaigns is desirable. The ability to lead initiatives, prioritize critical work over distracting demands, adapt to ever changing political climates and work effectively within teams and coalitions is essential.
