Migration and Winter Range Protections Graduate Internship, Dean’s Excellence Internships

Organization: U.S. Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke recently signed Secretarial Order 3362 to improve habitat quality, western big game winter range, and migration corridors​ for antelope, elk, and mule deer. ​The order purports to foster improved collaboration with states and ​private landowners and to facilitate use of the best available science to inform development of guidelines that protect big game populations.

Duties: This internship will track Department of the Interior agencies’ progress on implementing the Secretarial Order. The intern may also assist in efforts to inform the agencies’ decision-making process via document review and dissemination, meeting coordination and science communication.

Salary/pay: $15.00/hr
