Organization: Wyoming Department of Agriculture
Duties: The intern will assist with the Natural Resources and Policy division staff with projects and activities for the Wyoming Department of Agriculture. The intern will explore and acquire experience regarding a variety of natural resource issues facing Wyoming’s agricultural producers and land managers.The intern will research a variety of mediation topics (confidentiality, good faith negotiation requirements, and more), as they relate to agricultural and natural resource issues and gain an understanding of the use of alternative dispute resolution in Wyoming. The intern will also assist with mediation program outreach and learn about other activities conducted by the WDA Natural Resource & Policy Division. In addition, the intern will work with the Natural Resources Policy staff on a variety of natural resource issues occurring in Wyoming.
Desired qualifications: Preference will be given to first year or higher standing and pursuing a Juris Doctorate or sophomore or higher standing pursuing a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in related agricultural field. Any student who is currently enrolled in and attending an institution of higher education, and meets the minimum qualifications listed, is eligible to apply to the Internship Program. This includes vocational-technical programs, as well as, undergraduate and graduate programs.
