Job Title: Higher Ground Fair (HGF) Outreach Associate

Organization: Feeding Laramie Valley

Type of opportunity: The Higher Ground Fair team is looking for an Outreach Assistant to help in all aspects of fair outreach, marketing, and promotion. The Outreach Assistant will be expected to work independently at times, and also as part of supporting and cooperating with the Higher Ground Fair coordinating. The position involves assisting with fair operations including being part of in-person meeting, making phone calls, emails, and marketing materials as needed.

Duties: The Outreach Assistant will work directly with the Fair Team and will support all aspects of Higher Ground Fair planning and organizing.

• Support confirmed vendors, participants, speakers and volunteers with logistics including ensuring vendors understand fair policies and collecting and documenting booth fees.
• Create promotional materials such as social media posts, blog posts highlighting confirmed musicians and vendors, and update the website as new participants are confirmed.
• Assist Fair staff with volunteer recruitment and mobilization. Help design a volunteer training manual specific to the Higher Ground Fair.
• Summer Associates are required to provide a weekly personal narrative (and photo/art journal if desired) of their experience to the FLV Founder.

Start and end dates: June 3 -August 11 (Ability to commit to entire 10-week season with some holiday, weekend and/or evening work as required. Thereis occasional flexibility in the with supervisor’s advance approval.)

Salary/pay: Bi-weekly living allowance of about $473.00, 35/hour work week for10 weeks. Choice of an end-of-service education award of about $1,289.00that can be used for school payments or federal loans or cash stipend accrued at approximately $4.94 per day.
