Position Title: Community Action for Sustainability and Innovation AmeriCorps VISTA Position

Organization Overview: ARI are a Wyoming-based, grassroots organization dedicated to community activism that promotes safety and prevention of violence; social and economic justice; sustainable food security and sovereignty; and access to overall health and wellness for everyone.

Position Overview: In this position, you will work with the community and ARI staff to design and implement new programs focusing on food sovereignty, community economic development, and sharing community knowledge in Laramie, WY. Some of our new programs include a mobile food market, a beginner’s farmers and ranchers training and development program, a food hub, and more! You will work to build capacity within ARI and all its programs while gaining National Service experience and developing professional skills such as fundraising, community outreach, grant writing, program development and management, event coordination, and working with and supporting community advisory committees.

Salary/pay: Biweekly allowance of $513.94, and choice of end of service education award ($6,345) or a cash stipend ($1,800)
