Position Title: AmeriCorps VISTA Position

Organization: Wyoming Office of Rural Health

Organization Overview: The Wyoming Office of Rural Health seeks to enhance access to healthcare service, support the development of an adequate healthcare workforce, and promote collaboration in expanding comprehensive, community-based healthcare in rural Wyoming.

Position Overview: In this position, you will work to reduce the health professional shortage that is adversely affecting areas in Wyoming. You will research all available programs and incentives for healthcare professional recruitment and retention in Wyoming, and provide a report on their history, effectiveness, and ways the Office of Rural Health may be able to collaborate or promote those programs in the future, and work on cost-effectiveness and impact of selected Office of Rural Health programs. This is an opportunity to build professional skills while enabling Wyoming residents to gain access to necessary healthcare.

Salary/pay: Biweekly allowance of $513.94, and choice of end of service education award ($6,345) or a cash stipend ($1,800)
