Position Overview: RMI is looking to hire the right person to join the growing team as marketing coordinator. You will assist the RMI team and be responsible for coordination of various marketing, communications, and promotional activities and initiatives for the business and clients. You will partner with the marketing team to facilitate communication on a multitude of projects, including: marketing and organizing events, assisting with the development, execution and monitoring of email, digital, social media, and content marketing campaigns, planning and executing familiarization tours, carrying out promotional campaigns, identifying target audiences and evaluating current trends, creating original content, and conducting market research. You will act as lead on assigned marketing projects and will accomplish project goals on time and within budget. A successful Marketing Coordinator at RMI should be ready to work on a small team, coordinating multiple, diverse projects from inception to execution. You should be able to solicit ideas, information, and material from a wide spectrum of people and be able to follow through without prompting. You should be extremely well-organized, detail-oriented and an exceptional communicator both verbally and in writing. You will be a critical part of a small team and will support all marketing initiatives.
Duties:
- Collaborates with marketing, PR, design, and communications teammates to support program initiatives • Supports event coordination and marketing
- Coordinates trade and media familiarization tours
- Liaises with and executes client goals, ensuring optimal communication between all parties
- Administers, edits, formats and processes marketing documents, sales leads, media articles and official reports
- Sells advertising for various marketing projects
- Prepares marketing meeting minutes, notes, and internal support materials
- Organizes and proofreads marketing materials
- Assists with communication and execution of marketing programs
- Reviews files and records to answer requests for information
- Takes on other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter, able to generate project ideas and follow through with completion
- Able to work in a team across multiple projects and timelines
- Self-motivated, driven, and able to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization and in the tourism industry
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills with particular attention to detail
- Comprehensive knowledge of various office software
- Comfortable working in a small office environment
- Interested in career growth
- Problem analysis and solving
- Marketing or business-related degree or equivalent professional experience
- 0-2 years of work experience; tourism industry a plus
- Domestic travel may be required
