Job Title: Science Program Assistant VISTA

Position Overview: Science Moab seeks a VISTA to help grow our science engagement organization. This position will involve working on exciting programs related to science education with students, community members, and outdoor recreation guides. Specific duties will include organizing live outreach events, managing social media, overseeing graphic design and website development, and assisting the program directors in enacting community and science-based programming. With a great degree of independence, this position is dynamic, strategic, and creative, offering the unique opportunity to shape a popular local nonprofit for years to come.

Qualifications:

Experience: Program management/support; Marketing or communications; Graphic design, including Adobe Creative Suite; Web design and maintenance; Undergraduate degree or equivalent skills and experience

Qualities/Abilities: Dependable, organized, self-directed and self-motivated; passion for Science Moab’s mission and programs, and ability to help enact our vision and values in a clear, engaging, and inspirational way.

Start/End Dates: August 2022 – August 2023

Salary/Pay: $16,000 plus benefits
