Organization Overview: The Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR) is seeking a Project Analyst and Communications Specialist. This is a full-time benefits-eligible position that will assist the 17-member LCCMR with its Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund (ENRTF) project proposal and funding process, project oversight, and public outreach responsibilities. Work is primarily conducted through information-gathering, evaluation of project work plans, and various communications activities.

Position Overview: Assist the LCCMR in making a recommendation for $70 million annually for natural resource projects statewide, using various funding sources, but primarily from the ENRTF. Monitor funded projects for progress, compliance, and outcomes. Develop and implement communications efforts to keep various audiences informed about the LCCMR process, the ENRTF, and the outcomes and accomplishments of funded projects. The portion of this position’s time dedicated to communications may flux but is expected to grow over time.

Minimum Qualifications:  Demonstrated knowledge of environment and natural resources issues and experience with traditional and social media strategy and implementation. Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, communications, or a related field and three years of relevant experience. Alternately, a master’s degree and one year of relevant experience.

Salary/Pay: This is a full-time, unclassified, non-partisan, and benefits-eligible position with limited remote options available through October. The salary recruitment range is $66,400 – $80,000; starting salary will be commensurate with skills and experience.
