Position Title: Reclamation Field Technician

Position Overview: KC Harvery is currently seeking to hire multiple Reclamation Field Technicians to assist with reclamation activities in Wyoming operations based in Rawlins, WY. Lodging and a meal allowance are provided. Positions are full time and seasonal, from April through November 2023. Additional positions are open for current students beginning in mid-May until mid-August.
Duties:
- Manage weeds using truck, ATV/UTV, or backpack mounted herbicide spray equipment
- Conduct environmental compliance monitoring including vegetation monitoring and
stormwater inspections - Observe and record rangeland health conditions
- Identify soil erosion features and plants using a key
- Summarize field data
- Navigate using digital maps
- Map new and existing features using ArcGIS Collector on tablet computers
- Assist with site specific reclamation plans
- Install erosion control best management practices
- Re-vegetate disturbed areas by seeding
- Install and maintain snow fences and fencing/grazing enclosures
Qualifications:

- Ability to travel regularly to project locations
- Ability to participate in pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Be 21 years of age or older
Start/End Dates: Positions are full time and seasonal, from April through November. Additional positions are open for current students beginning in mid-May until mid-August.
Salary/Pay: Competitive pay starting $18 to $20/hour depending on experience with overtime potential. Lodging and a meal allowance are provided.
