Projects include large infrastructure development such as powerlines, pipelines, mines, wind farms, and oil and gas fields.

Position Overview: KC Harvery is currently seeking to hire multiple Reclamation Field Technicians to assist with reclamation activities in Wyoming operations based in Rawlins, WY.  Lodging and a meal allowance are provided. Positions are full time and seasonal, from April through November 2023. Additional positions are open for current students beginning in mid-May until mid-August.

Duties: 

  • Manage weeds using truck, ATV/UTV, or backpack mounted herbicide spray equipment
  • Conduct environmental compliance monitoring including vegetation monitoring and
    stormwater inspections
  • Observe and record rangeland health conditions
  • Identify soil erosion features and plants using a key
  • Summarize field data
  • Navigate using digital maps
  • Map new and existing features using ArcGIS Collector on tablet computers
  • Assist with site specific reclamation plans
  • Install erosion control best management practices
  • Re-vegetate disturbed areas by seeding
  • Install and maintain snow fences and fencing/grazing enclosures

  • Ability to participate in pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Be 21 years of age or older

Start/End Dates: Positions are full time and seasonal, from April through November. Additional positions are open for current students beginning in mid-May until mid-August. 

Salary/Pay: Competitive pay starting $18 to $20/hour depending on experience with overtime potential. Lodging and a meal allowance are provided.
