Organization: Gunnuk Creek Hatchery
Duties: Gunnuk Creek Assistant manager works under the direction of the Operations Manager, and will share responsibility for the oversight and performance of any and all aspects of hatchery- related operations. The Assistant Manager will provide supervision, direction, and leadership to all employees, and will be expected to actively participate in facility development and management. This position will require the operation of hatchery-related equipment: forklifts, front-end loaders, chainsaws, power tools, brush cutters, snow blowers, egg sorters, fish counters, fish pumps, and other associated apparatus. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an understanding of the hatchery’s water system, including the water collection process, water reuse system, and associated emergency procedures.
Desired qualifications: The ideal applicant will have a 4-year biology or related degree and have at least 2 years hatchery experience as a fulltime culturist or assistant manager
Start and end dates: October 1, 2018
Salary/pay: $40,000 to $46,000 per year D.O.E., housing included, plus benefits
