Job Title: Outreach and Partnership Assistant

Organization: Hearts of Glass Film

Type of opportunity: immediate opening for a highly motivated and organized person to provide administrative support for Jennifer Tennican, an independent documentary filmmaker based in Jackson, Wyoming. The position will focus on researching, managing and developing outreach and partnership opportunities for Ms. Tennican’s new film, “Hearts of Glass.” The feature-length documentary touches on sustainable local food production, social entrepreneurship and disability advocacy, employment and inclusion.

Duties: will include administrative assistance work via phone, email, GoogleDocs, etc. Tasks may include:

• Internet research and preparation of concise writeups highlighting potential partners/collaborator/funder opportunities.
• Creating and managing spreadsheets documenting partner, collaborator and/or funder leads.
• Tracking status on all correspondence and lead lists/spreadsheets.
• Preparing correspondence and making calls.

Desired qualifications: Self-starter with excellent communication (written and oral) and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will have a college degree in disability studies, social work, special education, food systems, sustainability or the environmental humanities. Must have an ability to convey enthusiasm about the film and its utility to businesses, nonprofits, etc. that have missions aligned with the film’s themes. An interest in media is a plus. Must have no fear of picking up the phone and talking to strangers!

Start and end dates: Minimum six-month commitment.

Salary/pay: $20/hr (with potential for an increase to $25/hr), 10 hrs/week.
