Position Title: Qualified Instructor
Organization: Yellowstone High Adventure Outpost
Organization Overview:The Yellowstone High Adventure Outpost at Camp Buffalo Bill provides rafting, climbing and backpacking programs in the summer and winter programs for Boy Scouts and Venturers based out of our facility 7 miles east of Yellowstone National Park.
Position Overview: Currently looking for qualified instructors for the older youth adventure programming this summer. They have had some great students from UW as well as the outdoor ed programs at Northwest College and Central Wyoming College in the past who have been able to use the summer experience with the camp as an industry internship. The summer season is 8-9 weeks long and should fulfill the 400-hour internship requirement for the Recreation and Tourism degree program.
Currently looking for students with Wilderness First Aid or higher level of training (they are offering this during staff training if needed) and who have experience/interest in any of the following areas:
- Backpacking
- Rock Climbing
- Whitewater Rafting
- Sea Kayaking
