Position Title: Aquatic Invasive Species Technician
Organization: Utah Division of Wildlife Resources
Location: Bear Lake, UT (Randolph area and Garden City)
Duties: The successful individual will work within the UDWR’s Aquatic Invasive Species Program, dealing primarily with Quagga/Zebra mussel interdiction and education at highway check stations (Bear Lake), Garden City and Laketown locations. Duties include inspecting and interviewing boaters at check stations and using a high-pressure sprayer to decontaminate boats when needed.
Qualifications: Applicants must be self- motivated and able to work independently. The individual must be able to interact with the public, educate them about invasive species, and maintain a professional attitude at all times. Uniforms are required. Weekend and holiday work required.
Successful applicants will start in May, These positions will last into September, with possibilities for extension into the fall. This is a great opportunity to get some work experience with the Utah DWR, make some extra money during the summer, and work outside with some great people! Start/End dates: May-September
Salary/pay: 11.78$ and up, depending on experience
